The Green Lot is the cheapest official parking option at John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH): an open-air long-term lot operated by the Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CRAA), connected to the terminal by a free shuttle that runs around the clock. There is no advance booking — you drive in, the first hour is free, and each 24-hour period costs $9. AirportParkings.com is an independent comparison site and does not operate this lot; every fact below was checked against the airport’s official website, flycolumbus.com, on 30 September 2026.

Green Lot key facts

How the Green Lot works

From I-670, follow the airport signage and then the signs for the Green Lot on E 17th Ave. Park and note your row before you leave the car — rows are marked with numbered green posts (markers such as 4C and 5D are visible in our photos), and photographing the nearest one saves a search when you return. Then board the free shuttle: buses run 24 hours a day and leave every 15–18 minutes, matching flights at any hour. The airport states that all of its shuttle buses are fitted with lift gear for wheelchairs and electric scooters, and accessible spaces are available for vehicles with a valid permit.

Because the first hour is free, a quick pick-up costs nothing — though for waiting on arriving passengers the airport also provides a dedicated Cell Phone Waiting Lot between the air traffic control tower and the terminal.

Green Lot or another CMH option?

  • Choose the Green Lot if price matters most: $9 a day is the lowest official rate at CMH, so a seven-day trip costs $63.
  • Choose the Red Lot ($11 per 24 h) if you drive an EV — it offers charging and the same shuttle service.
  • Choose the long-term garage ($24 per 24 h) for covered parking and a walk straight into the terminal, with no shuttle.
  • The Walking Lot closed permanently on 4 May 2026, so the Green and Red lots are now the airport’s only shuttle lots.
