Long Term Parking Lot 9

Lot 9 — listed on the airport’s own site simply as the Long-Term Parking Lot — is JFK’s official long-term economy lot, run by ABM Parking for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. There is no shuttle bus: the AirTrain’s Lefferts Boulevard station is at the lot, and the ride to every terminal is free. Drive-up parking costs at most $45 per 24 hours; booking online at least three hours ahead brings that down to $35 a day or less. AirportParkings.com is an independent comparison site, does not sell Lot 9 parking and earns nothing from this page; the facts below were checked against jfkairport.com on 30 September 2026.

Getting from Lot 9 to your terminal
Lot 9 is not served by any shuttle bus. The AirTrain’s Lefferts Boulevard station stands at the lot — its pylon appears in our photos — and connects to every JFK terminal. Trains run every 5–15 minutes around the clock and reach the terminals in under 10 minutes, free of charge between parking lots and terminals. The $8.75 AirTrain fare applies only if you continue past the terminals to Jamaica or Howard Beach for the subway or LIRR. From the far rows, allow an extra 5–10 minutes on foot to the station.

Driving there
Take the Van Wyck Expressway (I-678) south towards JFK and leave at Exit B, signed “Lefferts Blvd / Long Term Parking”, then follow the Lot 9 signs; coming along the Belt Parkway, use the Lefferts Boulevard exit (route checked August 2026).
Rules worth knowing before you park
- Stays over 30 days: register your vehicle with ABM Parking on arrival — call +1 (718) 244-4168 or email parkingcustomerservice@abm.com with your name, plate number and estimated stay. An unregistered vehicle parked more than 30 days is treated as abandoned and towed at the owner’s cost.
- E-ZPass Plus: use the purple-signed lanes and do not pull a ticket; fees of $20 or more are charged to the card linked to your E-ZPass account.
- Availability: the airport warns that parking is limited during construction and recommends pre-booking to guarantee a space.

What parkers say
On Yelp, Lot 9 holds a 3.8/5 rating from 32 reviews (checked September 2026). The recurring complaints in public reviews (checked August 2026) are the long, dimly lit walk from the far rows to the AirTrain station and disputes over posted rate signs versus the amount charged at exit — keep your entry ticket and note the rate posted at the gate when you drive in.
